We are looking for a second Stage 2000 ´Street-Team´ to represent and promote Stage 2000 around the city. If you are enthusiastic, motivated and in a band, then you could be in the Stage 2000 Street-Team! The Street-Teams will promote Stage 2000 through various marketing campaigns based in Dundee. Jam Session Gig 2007
The 2007 Jam Gig will be held in the City Function Suite, 124 Seagate, Dundee on Tuesday 11th December starting at 7.00pm. This is the chance for your friends and family to see all of the hard work and effort you have put in throughout the year.
All bands are invited to play on the evening including the bands which were nominated as most improved from this years jam sessions. So let the battle commence!!
We have a fantastic prize for the winning band on the night, which will be 25hrs rehearsal time at Stage 2000………. worth over £250!! Tutors will also be playing some tunes on the evening….. Not to be missed!!
All wishing to play on the night should meet on Sunday 11th November 2007 at 4.30pm in Stage 2000 so that we can arrange rehearsal time for you to practice and to polish off your songs before the big gig.
Tickets will be on sale from 11th November 2007 priced at £3.00 per person and will be available from the Stage 2000 Office.

Easter Jam Sessions!
For everyone who loves to take part in our holiday jam sessions, the date has now been set for the Easter one this year. 2nd April to 6th April 2007. If you wish to book a place either pick up a form from the office if you are a regular customer, or give us a quick call and a member of staff will be more than happy to get your details down. Info on the jam session can be found on our website under the heading ‘Workshops’.
Update on Room 3
As was mentioned earlier in the year, rehearsal room 3 was to be getting an upgrade in gear! This has now been completed!. The upgrade includes a whole new back line and P.A system. A new ventilation system will be installed too, for the more energetic practices. The new amps include an ‘Orange’AD30HTC half stack, ‘Vox’AC30 combo and a ‘Trace Elliot’ Double Stack bass amp.All in all, room 3 is now possibly the best kitted out room we have had yet and the feedback from bands using it looks set to confirm this!
Because of this upgrade in gear, room 3 will no longer be half price on Saturdays for under 18’s. Student/Unemployed discounts still apply though. Oh, and don’t worry about the price of the room going up, its staying the same!

New year, and a new dose of news from the stage2000 up-to-date news machine. Sorry it’s been a while since the last installment, but here goes...
What’s been happening down at stage2000? What’s new I hear you ask. Well, Summer 2006 was quite an eventful one. With Stage sponsoring a number of local events and gigs! Two of which turned out to be very popular and great fun. The one that sticks out in my head has to be ´the Carnoustie Big Gig´. Stage was more than happy to help out here, in what turned out to be a very popular all day event! With many of the bands playing being local bands down at Stage. Some of the more regular folk down here may of noticed a little painting and spring clean of a few of our rooms over the last wee while, some of you can still admire the paint from the comfort of your own house, but there were signs up, you were warned!!1:P Room two especially was looking a little run down, so a full repaint and clean was done. There are also a couple of new P.A speakers in there now, more suited to the room. Next up is a possible new back line in room 3, as it is our more luxurious room, we feel it deserves it. So stay tuned for that one!
If there was a wagon with a band in the back of it, we have just jumped in with them. Stage2000 now has a Myspace up and running. We are looking to get all the bands that practice down here added onto it, get yourselves heard by the local crowd, and indeed the world! If you have any original material, feel free to send it to us. We will be more than happy to feature local bands songs on the site. Stage 2000 has made it through to the final of the e-business awards this year in conjunction with Scottish Enterprise.

Now in its fourth year, this is a premier event in the business calendar.
Winners of the Tayside Business Awards will automatically qualify for the judging for the national final organised by Scottish Enterprise in summer 2006.
This award will be presented to an organisation that has embraced and adopted digital technologies to transform the way they do business. Companies, which have successfully implemented new technologies, and are able to demonstrate an improvement in business performance, as a result will qualify.
A company which has researched and implemented e-business technologies to meet a specific need – either to improve internal effectiveness or to create new and better ways of interacting with customers. The success of implementation should be effectively measured, and the impact on the overall business performance clearly identified.
Successful organisations will be looking at how to continue this investment, by monitoring and implementing appropriate new technologies as they emerge in the market place.

At the Scottish Enterprise awards ceremony on 17 March 2006, Stage 2000 was recognised for this web site and was presented with the award for e-business as judged by Abertay University.

Just a reminder to all clients of Stage 2000, that as of 26 March 2006, the NO SMOKING ban will apply within the whole of our premises. Clients wishing to smoke will have to go outside. We are planning a sheltered area just to the right of the entrance for smokers.
